iFeel – Aiming towards a 100% literate Islamabad
Out of School Children’s school under iFeel is providing free quality education to needy children. It has established ten schools in different parts of Islamabad with more than 600 street children now as formal students studying in these schools. The work done at iFeel is in collaboration with different Government offices and institutions for providing educational services to out of school children. Currently, iFeel is running these centers in different Federal Govt. Schools and one in National Child Protection Center under Ministry of Human Rights.
In an effort to devise educational models that could help over age students to get education in a short duration of time iFeel has successfully run a three and a half year primary program for children of ages 7 to 10 years of age and a one year accelerated primary program for children of ages 10 years and above who have never gone to school before.
At iFeel efforts are being made to design and conduct volunteer and social welfare programs for youth from different Universities and colleges through which they are not only given motivation and leadership skills but also help them become successful in their professional life. Students from Islamic University, FAST NU, SEECS NUST, Federal Govt. Colleges and many other similar institutes have done various projects at iFeel OSC schools.
Skills and Vocational programs are also offered to underprivileged children free of cost to make them self-sufficient in sustenance.
